The IRISCC project has officially started. It is a great opportunity to benefit from open Transnational access to the SIRTA Atmospheric observatory.

Call topics will be either open to all kinds of projects or have a particular focus.

The upcoming calls for Trans-National Access within IRISCC will open following the calendar below :

In order to apply, candidates should complete the online Application form through IRISCC website, selecting SIRTA platform, before each call deadline.

The IRISCC project is proud to announce the launch of its Catalogue of Research Infrastructure Services — your gateway to Europe’s top facilities, data, tools, and expertise designed to advance research on climate risks. Explore a unique portfolio of services from leading infrastructures covering:

🔬 Experimental and Observational Facilities
📊 Data Repositories
🧠 Modelling Tools & Simulation Platforms
🌐 Environmental, Climate, Social Science and Digital Research Services

This catalogue is the first step in building an integrated ecosystem for tackling climate change hazards — from floods to droughts, heatwaves to compound risks. Two more service releases will follow, expanding the offer with integrated and co-designed knowledge services.

Transnational Access (TNA) is provided in two types:

  • in person (physical access), with users physically visiting the facility/installation and receiving the service “hands-on”
  • remotely (remote access), with resources and services offered without users physically visiting the facility/installation

Proposals are eligible if they meet the Transnationality criteria: the users must work in a country other than France.

Eligible users can apply for:
✅ Transnational Access (TA) — physical, remote, or hybrid
✅ Virtual Access (VA) — fully digital
✅ Up to €2000 in travel and subsistence support

Whether you’re developing models, collecting field data, or testing climate adaptation solutions, IRISCC can connect you with the infrastructure you need.

Fast-Track Call — Open Continuously (2025–2028)

IRISCC is offering a Fast-Track Call for rapid-response projects or researchers affected by climate emergencies, such as those working on urgent climate risks or impacted by the war in Ukraine.

This fast-track process ensures a quicker route to accessing the services you need for time-sensitive projects.
